Dry Land Training Tuesday– 2JUNE2020

Sidestroke is great for kids and young adults that want to get into Junior Lifeguarding. This stroke is effective for saving a victim in the water without exhausting the rescuer. We teach sidestroke as a part of our curriculum at 5 Cities Swim School to help with balance in the water. It requires a very strong scissor kick to propel you through the water while the arms extend out to the sides for a push and glide. The head remains out of the water so you can see where you are going, the body is positioned on its side.
